TRUNK OR TREAT SPECIAL: Use our free craft packet to paint a little rock monster friend!
For our second Trunk or Treat special, we also handed out make your own rock monster packets! With painted rocks becoming more and more of a trend, we wanted to bring and easy, fun, and semi-halloween themed craft home to you!
Because being a parent is so much more fun when you build memories together at home.
Here is what you need and instructions for this easy take-home craft:
Make Your Own Rock Monster
Supplies
Include everything your reader needs to make this recipe perfectly, with measurements, optional additions, or alternatives. For example:
Rock
Paint
Paint brush
Adhesive googly eye(s)
**Sharpie, marker, stickers, etc. (not included)
Instructions
Step 1: Paint the rocks
-Paint your pebble all over with bright color.
-Your monster may look better if you apply a second coat of paint after the first has dried.
Step 2: Give your monster eyes
-Peel off the backing of self-adhesive googly eyes provided.
-Place where desired
Step 3: Facial expressions
-Decide what kind of facial expression you want your monster to have.
(you can use this opportunity to go over naming emotions) - Use black sharpie or paint to paint the mouth
Step 4: Optional additions
-Use sharpie or other paint to add teeth, spots, or other monster-like features (see below for some ideas on facial expressions).
